"The 50% Front Stretch": Homestead-Miami Speedway Introduces Unprecedented Payment Plan for Ford Championship Weekend

Guarantee seats for NASCAR's series-crowning final weekend—Nov. 14-16 at South Florida's Championship Track—with just 50 percent down on tickets

While Dale Jr., Jeff, Jimmie, Carl and Kyle are giving it 100 percent in the Chase for the 2008 Sprint Cup, Homestead-Miami Speedway is asking only 50 percent from fans interested in guaranteeing a coveted spot at NASCAR's series-crowning Ford Championship Weekend.

Homestead-Miami Speedway President Curtis Gray today announced "The 50% Front Stretch Payment Plan," inviting fans to purchase any seat for the Nov. 14-16 Ford Championship Weekend with just 50 percent down on the cost of tickets. This unprecedented offer is valid through July 1 and allows for a two-month cushion to pay the remainder of charges by Sept. 1.

"The fanatical support of the South Florida community is a big reason that NASCAR crowns its champions at Homestead-Miami Speedway each year," said track president Curtis Gray. "And we'd like to reward that backing with some payment flexibility for Ford Championship Weekend. So join us for the finale of America's No. 1 spectator sport with just 50 percent down on all seats, and you'll have until Sept. 1 to make that second payment."

The "50% Front Stretch Payment Plan" is available by calling (866) 409-RACE. Phenomenal seats remain for this three-day championship tradition unlike any other; the Craftsman Truck Ford 200 is scheduled under Friday night's lights, the Nationwide Series Ford 300 is set for Saturday afternoon and the Sprint Cup Series caps the weekend Sunday afternoon. Initial deposits for NASCAR's South Florida finale are nonrefundable, and all orders must be placed via phone and credit card (Discover, MasterCard, Visa), with the remaining half of ticket charges to be automatically billed on Sept. 1.

Looking ahead to Ford Championship Weekend at Homestead-Miami Speedway from Nov. 14-16, the Top 12 drivers in the race for the Chase read like an All-Star invite list (Sprint Cup ranking listed):

  • Triple-threat Kyle Busch (1st) leads the Sprint Cup pack, sits 3rd in Nationwide standings and has two wins in seven Craftsman Truck Series races—all championships crowned at HMS Nov. 16
  • Jeff Burton (2nd) is breathing down Busch's neck, just a mere 21 points behind the leader through 14 races
  • Dale Earnhardt Jr. (3rd) is seeking a Cup Championship coming-out party at Homestead-Miami
  • Carl Edwards (4th) and Greg Biffle (7th) accentuate the "Ford" in Ford Championship Weekend
  • Jimmie Johnson (6th) and Jeff Gordon (8th) look to pounce on yet another Sprint Cup Championship
  • Fan-favorites Kasey Kahne (9th)--hitting a summer-stretch stride--and Tony Stewart (12th)--who usually heats up with the weather--are both in Chase contention and looking forward to Ford Championship Weekend in Miami
